Teaching full time for 15 years and traveling to work with dancers all over the globe, Courtney witnessed the power of dance to heal, grow and cultivate joy.
Inspired by her work with students in bringing their authentic selves onto the dance floor, she's graduated with her master's in clinical mental health psychology. She is ecstatic to bring her two worlds - champion west coast swing dancer and budding Buddhist therapist - together as she teaches. Courtney teaches from a social justice lens with a focus on movement mechanics, authenticity and embracing our embodied experience. Who we are off the dance floor inevitably shows up within the partnership -

John Kirkconnell
John has been dancing WCS for almost 25 years.
He's a two-time US Open finalist in the Classic division and has taught in over 20 countries worldwide. He has judged Champions and Invitational divisions everywhere from Easter Swing to, Boogie by The Bay to Swingtacular.
John is also one of Canada's only Champion level competitors. Placing a large amount of his coaching focus around the finer details, John caters his teaching to each individuals' specific needs. He's beyond excited to spend an immersive weekend with everyone!
